depression

Depression doesn’t always look like constant tears or dramatic sadness. Sometimes it feels like heaviness in the chest, exhaustion in the bones, and a mind that never gets quiet. It’s waking up already tired, overwhelmed before the day even begins, and wondering how something so invisible can feel so crushing.

When I’m overwhelmed by depression, everything feels louder and heavier. Simple tasks feel impossible. My thoughts race between guilt for not doing more and shame for feeling this way at all. I want relief, but even asking for help feels like too much effort. Depression has a way of convincing you that you’re alone, even when you’re not.

What hurts the most is feeling stuck—wanting to feel better but not knowing how to climb out of the fog. Some days, just surviving feels like an accomplishment.
